The Managing Director of Fullwood Packo Group opened the visit with an introduction to Fullwood Packo and the Group’s commitment to delivering advanced milking and cooling technologies that improve the lives of farmers and their herds.

Fullwood Packo has been designing milking robots for over 20 years and the visitors were able to see the robots being manufactured and experienced the M²erlin in action on a local farm. The Farm Manager was happy to share an insight into the ongoing management of his organic milking and how the M²erlin has improved efficiencies.

Attending the visit was a farmer from Stone, who is in the process of installing M²erlin robots at his Staffordshire farm. Commenting on the visit, Philip Atkins, Staffordshire County Council Leader said: “It was good to see first-hand how this solution is benefiting another Staffordshire farmer and see how Fullwood Packo is utilising the latest technology to improve the dairy industry and its productivity.

“Agriculture is one of the Midlands engine’s key sectors and so we welcome developments which will support productivity and growth of local produce and food.”
